On Tuesday, 5 February, Bulgarian interior minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov directly accused Hizballah of carrying out the bus bombing in the Black Sea resort of Burgas on 18 July of last year, killing five and injuring another thirty-two Israeli tourists. TONY VLADKOV is a Madrid-based researcher of Bulgarian origin, and an intern at the Club of Madrid. A graduate from the School of Oriental and African Studies in the UK, Sofia University and the University of Jordan, he has dedicated 10 years to the study of the Middle East living and travelling around the Arab world and Europe. His main research interests include political Islam, Islamic activism, Middle East politics and human rights in the Middle East. He is fluent in Arabic, Bulgarian, English and Spanish.
