Gülfer Göze is a PhD candidate in the English Department at Tufts University. She is interested in representations of gender, race, and class in literature, post-colonial theory, travel literature, slave narratives, history of the book, and paratexts. She is currently working on her dissertation entitled "Authorization, Authority, and Authorship: Paratexts in Nineteenth-Century American Slave Narratives and Twentieth-Century Post-Colonial Novels."
