On Friday 13 September 2013 at the American University of Beirut (AUB), the Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) held a discussion on America’s war antics. Vijay Prashad, Alex Lubin, and Elisabeth Armstrong

 

Vijay Prashad is the Edward Said Chair of American Studies at the AUB. His most recent book is The Poorer Nations: A Possible History of the Global South (Verso, 2013).

Alex Lubin is the Director of the Center for American Studies and Research at the AUB. His forthcoming book is Geographies of Liberation: The Making of an Afro-Arab Political Imaginary (2014).

Elisabeth Armstrong is a professor in the Center for American Studies and Research at the AUB. Her forthcoming book is Gender and Neoliberalism: The All India Democratic Women’s Association and Globalization Politics (New York: Routledge Press; New Delhi: Tulika Press).
