Sandy Russell Jones is a Post-doctorate Fellow at the Rutgers Center for Historical Analysis and lectures in Rutgers’ History Department on Islamic Civilization, Islamic law, and Women in the Middle East. Her work on Islamic family law reform in Bahrain can be found in Middle East Report and in “God’s Law or State’s Law?
