Israel has unleashed another round of destruction and suffering on the Gaza Strip, even more ferocious than its 2008-9 invasion. Bashir Abu-Manneh is visiting assistant professor in comparative literature at Brown University. He is author of Fiction of the New Statesman, 19131939 (2011) and is completing a monograph on the Palestinian novel.
