Bio

Nicola Perugini and Neve Gordon

 

Nicola Perugini is a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Italian Studies and Middle East Studies at Brown University. He is an anthropologist who teaches at and directs the Al Quds Bard Honors College Human Rights Program in Jerusalem. He has taught at the American University of Rome has been a Member at the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton). He is the co-author of The Human Right to Dominate (Oxford, 2015). 

Neve Gordon is Professor of Politics and Government at Ben-Gurion University. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Michigan, the Watson Institute at Brown University, and the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton). During the first intifada, he was the director of Physicians for Human Rights–Israel. He is the co-editor of Torture: Human Rights, Medical Ethics, and the Case of Israel (Zed, 1995); the editor of From the Margins of Globalization: Critical Perspectives on Human Rights (Lexington, 2004); the author of Israel's Occupation (California, 2008); and, most recently, the co-author of The Human Right to Dominate (Oxford, 2015).
