Özgür Gökmen is a political scientist who graduated from Mekteb-i Mülkiye (Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University) in 1994. Gökmen worked at the Middle East Technical University, the International Institute of Social History (Amsterdam), Leiden University, and Izmir University of Economics. He has translated the works of thinkers such as Asef Bayat and Samir Kassir into Turkish. He is currently translating Joel Beinin's works. His website is: http://ozgurgokmen.net.
