Samer Ghamroun

Samer Ghamruon is a a Doctoral Fellow at the Institut des Sciences sociales du Politique (ISP), at the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, near Paris, where he is examining the impact of juvenile justice and policies in Lebanon upon the Lebanese family, particularly in relation to  women and children. Samer is also  a researcher at the Moufakkira al Qanounia (Legal Agenda), a recently established Law & Society project based in Beirut. In this capacity, he is leading field research on the modalities of judicial resistances in an authoritarian context in pre-revolutionary Tunisia and Egypt, and on the role of legal professionals in the transitional period today.
