From the Editors
Rickard Lagervall is a Ph. D. candidate in islamology at the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies and is affiliated to the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University, Sweden. He is working on a thesis on the contemporary debate in Morocco on democracy, human rights, and women’s position and how participants in this debate use arguments from Islamic tradition and from international conventions on human rights. He teaches courses in islamology, Middle Eastern studies, and human rights at Lund University and courses in religious science at Halmstad University, Sweden.
