كان العام 1966 في ما أذكر. هرعنا يومها إلى قاعة «سينما النصر» في مدينة غزة لحضور ندوة أدبية عقدت على هامش مؤتمر لاتحاد كتاب فلسطين، كان يعقد في المدينة. كانت المفاجأة أجمل من مؤتمر يعقد وينتخب هيئة مسؤولة للاتحاد وينفضُ كأن شيئاً لم يكن. أعلن عريف الندوة دعوته «الكاتب الشاب» غسان كنفاني. شاب بالغ الوسامة ناحل وفي مقتبل العمر صعد المنبر ليتحدث بلهجة تمزج الحلم بالواقع في مناخ كان أقرب للحلم: أخبرنا عن شعر جميل جاءه من «هناك»، من «الجهة الأخرى» التي صارت «غامضة»، ...
