Mariya Petkova is a Cairo-based journalist. She is the ME correspondent for Bulgarian channel bTV and has written for a variety of Bulgarian- and English-language publications. She is currently working on a research degree in Middle Eastern Studies at Oxford University. Mariya is also a researcher at Jadaliyya and is part of the Egypt Editorial team.
