Al-Jazeera Interview with Jadaliyya Co-Editor Noura Erakat on PLO/PA Strategy at the UN
[Noura Erakat. Image from screen shot of interview.]
The following interview aired live on Al Jazeera English's The Stream with Jadaliyya Co-Editor Noura Erakat on 20 September 2011. Erakat argues that if the PLO is serious about changing its strategy vis-a-vis Israel post-statehood bid, it should commit to shifting from bilateralism to multilateralism and look to its base for leadership. She counters the claim, advanced by co-guest Husam Zomlot, that the issue of the legitimacy of Palestinian representation is an "internal" issue that can be separated from the decision to pursue the statehood bid. Instead, Erakat argues that Palestinian leadership at the UN is purporting to speak on behalf of all Palestinians and is therefore afforded deference by other diplomatic missions despite the fact that those Palestinian representatives lack the mandate to do so.

On several occasions I have written President Obama at the White House to arrange that the American radio information centers announce to their listeners in the Middle East about what I believe would end the ruthless and random murder of suicide bomber activity. It is the suicide bomber's religious concept that their death is a martyrdom that promises the male a Paradise which includes a bevy of virgins to have sex with. What suicide bomber women are promised in Paradise is moot. President Obama should direct the US Army and Allies to assist the Elected Rulers and Sovereigns of he Arab nations to follow through with the following desecration of the "would-be-martyrdom" of suicide bombers. The news announcement to be made public is that all body parts of the bomber including fragmented remains of flesh, bones, skull will be collected and boiled into a stew that will be palatable as feed to pigs and/or dogs. The actual remains of the suicide bomber will be digested in these unholy and despised animals to become their feces that ,in accordance with the Muslim religion, will never see Paradise.
