Faculty Position - International Studies (IR/CP)/Middle East
Application deadline January 23, 2012
The Department of Political Studies and Public Administration (PSPA) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a full-time, open rank position in international studies with an interest in topics relevant to the politics of Middle East and/or North Africa to begin September 15, 2012.
We will consider applicants of any subfield in political science or a related field. We are particularly interested in seeking a scholar who can complement the department’s existing areas of expertise. The department has recently revised its undergraduate and graduate master’s curriculum and is interested in attracting a scholar with strong theoretical training and a creative research agenda well suited to the location and institutional setting of AUB. Qualified candidates must possess teaching experience and a PhD in Political Science or related field.
To apply, please send a letter of intent that describes qualifications, outlines a research agenda, and addresses teaching interests, a sample publication or scholarly work, a CV, a statement on teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching effectiveness, if available, and three reference letters to:

Review of applications will begin January 23, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled.
