While Algeria may not have seen protests on the scale of its regional neighbors, many Algerians are expressing their political dissent through abstention. On Twitter, the hashtag #10MaiToz was used to post various updates pertaining to police crackdowns on minor protests and voter fraud, with reports of registration under the names of dead people used to vote.
