Dania Koleilat Khatib

 

Dania Koleilat Khatib is the founder of the Research Center for Cooperation and Peace Building (RCCP), a Lebanon- based NGO focused on Track II. She is an affiliated scholar at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut (AUB). She specializes in US-Arab relations and has a special interest in Syria. 

 

Dr. Khatib authored the book The Arab Lobby and the US: Factors for Success and Failure (Routledge UK, 2016). The Arabic version is published by the Center of Arab Unity for Studies in Beirut. She is co-editor of The Arab Gulf States and the West: Perceptions and Realities—Opportunities and Perils, also published by Routledge (2018), which handles Western perception of the Arab Gulf. 

 

Dr. Khatib is a regular publisher on US relations with the Arab Gulf, in several regional newspapers. She is a weekly columnist in the Saudi newspaper Arab News, and has had regular appearances on a series of Middle Eastern television stations. Dr. Khatib has co-directed and participated in numerous conferences and workshop and has presented and spoken on scholarly papers. She has been a guest speaker on several high-profile platforms such as NATO, the European Parliament and the Heritage Foundation. She holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Exeter and both an MBA and a BBA from AUB.
