Shana Minkin
Shana Minkin is Associate Professor and Chair of International and Global Studies at Sewanee, the University of the South. She holds a PhD from the joint History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies program at New York University, an MA in Jewish Studies from Emory University, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to Imperial Bodies, Shana’s writing has appeared in the edited volume, The Long 1890s in Egypt: Colonial Quiescence and Subterranean Resistance (Edinburgh University Press, 2014), and journals such as Rethinking History: The Journal of Theory and Practice; History Compass and The Sewanee Review.
