Lisa Marchi

Lisa Marchi has worked for many years as a language facilitator in a pilot teaching program for undocumented minors, refugees, and asylum seekers. As a researcher at the University of Trento in Italy, she now specializes in contemporary US poetry, with a specific emphasis on global interconnections, particularly between North America, Europe, and the Arab world. Her belief that pedagogy should be interactive, intercultural, and guided by practical ends has remained unshaken throughout the years. Lisa’s essays have appeared in international journals, such as Comparative Literature Studies and Canadian Literature, as well as in collective volumes. She is the author of In filigrana: Poesia arabo-americana scritta da donne (2020), the first monograph written in Italian and entirely dedicated to contemporary Arab American poetry written by women.
