Sofia Fenner
Sofia Fenner is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Colorado College. Her research focuses on state capacity, authoritarian rule, and organized resistance in the Middle East and North Africa. With Michael Albertus and Dan Slater, she is the author of Coercive Distribution, published by Cambridge University Press in 2017. Her first solo book, Shouting in a Cage: Political Life After Authoritarian Co-optation in North Africa, was published by Columbia University Press in 2023.
