New Article Submission

Thank you for your interest in Jadaliyya. We welcome all submissions. The most significant requirement is for Jadaliyya submissions to be analytically compelling and offer a perspective or argument that has not been covered at length either on Jadaliyya or elsewhere. Because of the volume of submissions, well-written pieces are prioritized. Length is flexible, 1000 to 2500 words is the average range. However, we will accept longer pieces. Once submitted, several members of the editorial committee will review your piece and one of them will inform you of the decision.

Sundus Abdul Hadi

Sundus Abdul Hadi was born to Iraqi parents in the UAE and raised in Montreal, Canada. She received both a BFA in Studio Art & Art History from Concordia University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Communication Studies. As a multimedia artist, Abdul Hadi works mostly with painting, collage, sound, and digital art. Collaboration, community and social empowerment are important to her, and she has taught visual arts workshops to youth in Iraq and Australia. Her work has been exhibited in the UAE, Palestine, Canada and the US, with solo shows of her multimedia painting-sound series "Warchestra" held in Toronto, Ottawa, and also in Montreal as part of the Arab Winter exhibit. As co-owner of multimedia label, The Medium, Abdul Hadi often collaborates with hip hop artist/educator The Narcicyst on various projects as curator, multimedia/art director.
