Joanna Allan
Joanna Allan joined Northumbria University in March 2019 as Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellow. Before this, she was a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow and Teaching Fellow at Durham University. Joanna has also worked at National Energy Action in Newcastle (UK), the Consortium on HIV/AIDS and International Development, and London Councils European Service (housed by Greater London Enterprise). She has also volunteered with Western Sahara solidarity groups for a number of years, including as President of Western Sahara Resource Watch, an international network of organizations and activists working in solidarity with Saharawis against the plunder of Western Sahara, until 2017.
