Erik Freas
Erik Freas earned a Ph.D. in modern Middle East history at the University of St. Andrews, and is currently a tenured Associate Professor at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, City University of New York. In addition to several articles dealing with Muslim-Christian relations in Palestine during the British mandatory period, he has authored two books, both published by Palgrave Macmillan: Muslim-Christian Relations in Palestine during the Late-Ottoman Period: Where National Identity and Religion Intersect; and (shortly to be released) The Exclusivity of Holiness: The Role of the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount in the Formation of National Identities.
