Claudia Ghrawi


Claudia Ghrawi holds a masters degree in history and political sciences from the University of Potsdam. She studied Arabic in Damascus and Berlin. She is a research fellow at the Zentrum Moderner Orient, and a PhD candidate at the Freie University, both in Berlin. Together with Ulrike Freitag, Nelida Fuccaro and Nora Lafi, she edited Urban Violence in the Middle East. Changing Cityscapes in the Transition from Empire to Nation State. (New York, Oxford: Berghahn Publishers, 2015).
