Tala Khanmalek
Tala Khanmalek is a graduate student in the Department of Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley with two Designated Emphases in Critical Theory and in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her research is about the centrality of health to the creation of human differences. She recently presented an ongoing project about mental health studies conducted on Iranian immigrants after 9/11 and these studies’ relationships to the “war on terror.” She is the editor of the forthcoming anthology Womyn’s Cricle: Writing Our Bodies Into (Well)Being.
