Manijeh Nasrabadi

 Manijeh Nasrabadi received her PhD in American Studies from New York University in 2014 and is currently a University of California President`s Postdoctoral Fellow in Asian American Studies at UC Davis. Her current research focuses on the transnational Iranian student movement against the Shah and the cross-pollination of Iranian radicals with the US Third World Left. She is the former co-director of the Association of Iranian American Writers and received an MFA in creative nonfiction from Hunter College, City University of New York in 2007. Her essays and articles have appeared in Women’s Studies Quarterly, Comparative Studies of South Asian, Africa, and the Middle East, Social Text online, Jadaliyya, tehranbureau.com, and Callaloo.
