Martyn Frampton is Reader in Modern History at Queen Mary University of London. His book, The Muslim Brotherhood and the West: A History of Enmity and Engagement, is published by Harvard University Press. He is also the author of three books, and numerous articles on Irish republicanism, the conflict in Northern Ireland, and most recently, the historical relationship between western governments and the Muslim Brotherhood.
