Julie Peteet is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Louisville. Her research has focused on Palestinian displacement, refugee camps, space and identity, and mobilities and the policy of closure in the West Bank. She has authored: Space and Mobility in Palestine (Indiana University Press 2017); Landscape of Hope and Despair. Palestinian Refugee Camps (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2005); and Gender in Crisis; Women and the Palestinian Resistance Movement (Columbia University Press, 1991), and has published articles in a variety of journals. Her research has been funded by: NEH, SSRC, Wenner-Gren, Fulbright, SAR, the Mellon Foundation, CAORC, and PARC.
