Gerasimos Tsourapas is Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Middle East Politics at the University of Birmingham. His research focuses on the politics of migration, refugees, and diasporas in the broader Middle East. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including International Studies Quarterly, International Studies Perspectives, Third World Quarterly, and International Political Science Review. His first book, The Politics of Migration in Modern Egypt – Strategies for Regime Survival in Autocracies, was published in 2019 by Cambridge University Press.
