Thank you for your interest in Jadaliyya. We welcome all submissions. The most significant requirement is for Jadaliyya submissions to be analytically compelling and offer a perspective or argument that has not been covered at length either on Jadaliyya or elsewhere. Because of the volume of submissions, well-written pieces are prioritized. Length is flexible, 1000 to 2500 words is the average range. However, we will accept longer pieces. Once submitted, several members of the editorial committee will review your piece and one of them will inform you of the decision.

Pete Moore and the Middle East Studies Pedagogy Initiative (MESPI)

Pete W. Moore is the Marcus A. Hanna Associate Professor of Politics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has held previous positions at Concordia University in Montreal, Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, and the University of Miami in Coral Gables. His research focuses on issues of political economy, state-society relations, and sub-state conflict in the Gulf and the Levant. He has served on the editorial committee of the Middle East Report and currently co-directs the Northeast Ohio Consortium for Middle East Studies (NOCMES), a collaborative initiative of several universities and faculty. Currently, he is completing a manuscript on Jordan`s war economies.

 

MESPI is a curated interactive platform for ME studies resources specifically tailored for the needs of teachers, researchers, and students. It will be the one-stop shop for course design on the macro level, lesson planning on the micro level, and for scholarship vis-a-vis specific topics, countries, and disciplines.
