New Article Submission

Thank you for your interest in Jadaliyya. We welcome all submissions. The most significant requirement is for Jadaliyya submissions to be analytically compelling and offer a perspective or argument that has not been covered at length either on Jadaliyya or elsewhere. Because of the volume of submissions, well-written pieces are prioritized. Length is flexible, 1000 to 2500 words is the average range. However, we will accept longer pieces. Once submitted, several members of the editorial committee will review your piece and one of them will inform you of the decision.

Mayssa Jallad and Nikolay Mintchev

Mayssa Jallad is a research assistant at the American University of Beirut. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the American University of Beirut, and a Master’s in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. She is also a singer-songwriter and is currently based in Beirut.

Nikolay Mintchev is Research Associate at the Institute for Global Prosperity at University College London and the RELIEF Centre. Having trained as a social anthropologist, he has a long-established interest in ethnographic methods and in methodological innovation in the social sciences. His current work is on the way in which locally relevant and context-specific understandings of prosperity can be used to inform urban initiatives for better quality of life.
