Dana Abi Ghanem

Dana Abi Ghanem is currently a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering and Design at Teesside University. With a background in environmental science, development studies and urban planning, her work explores the socio-technical dynamics of energy and society, applying those concepts to understand the development and adoption of new energy technologies, the evolution of energy infrastructures, and urban resilience. In 2018, she completed the AHRC/ESRC funded “Following the Wires” project, which explored the everyday manifestations of infrastructure failures through the lens of the Lebanese civil war, unpacking people’s experiences of coping with the country’s long-term outages.
