Abdullah F. Alrebh د. عبدالله فيصل آل ربح

Dr Abdullah F. Alrebh is an Associate Professor of Sociology of Religion and Sociological Theory at Grand Valley State University. He is an academic and author with research interests in the Middle East, Arabic literature, and Islam. He earned a PhD from Michigan State University, East Lansing in 2014, in addition to a Master of Sociology from MSU, and a Master of Arabic literature from King Saud University. He has published a number of academic articles and book chapters focusing on religion, the Middle East, social movements, and education. His major interest is Saudi Arabia and Islamic mobilization in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Prior to joining Grand Valley, Dr. Alrebh worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and as adjunct faculty at Saginaw Valley State University. Between 2022 and 2023, he served as the editor of Michigan Sociological Review (MSR). Currently, he is serving as non-resident scholar at Middle East Institute, Washington DC.
