The ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) finally issued a decree promulgating the long promised lustration law on Monday.
The law would presumably strip members of ousted president Hosni Mubarak`s now defunct National Democratic Party (NDP) of their political rights, including the right to run for political office.
The law has been a long time consensual demand of the country`s political forces, save for the so-called "remnants" of the NDP.
