The Egyptian Bloc accuses Islamist parties of attacking its headquarters in the Suez governorate.
The Egyptian Bloc headquarters in the port city of Suez has been attacked, according to members of the Free Egyptians Party. The identity of the attackers, however, remains unknown.
Members of the Bloc allege that the attack was perpetrated by hired thugs while some eyewitnesses have claimed that members of the Bloc were responsible.
Free Egyptians Party member Shady Mohamed accused Islamist parties of being behind the attack, adding that the assault is one of a series of attacks targeting his party and its electoral alliance.
However, unidentified eyewitnesses claimed that the attackers were party members previously seen representing the Free Egyptians - a member of the Bloc - at polling stations. They claim these members were angered that the party did not pay them the fees they were due, although it compensated others.
