Activists say army lays siege to two field hospitals near Tahrir Square; military police assaults a doctor and arrests tens.
Doctors in Omar Makram field hospital sent a recorded call for help on their website saying that they are being detained by military in Omar Makram Mosque, near Tahrir Square, together with the injured of which some are in a critical health situation.
The Egyptian Current Party tweeted through its official Twitter account that member and doctor at the Omar Makram field hospital, Amr Salah, was beaten by military police Saturday morning as he was trying to protect one of the injured during the military attack on Tahrir`s sit-in.
Salah passed out and was moved to Ain Shams hospital where he is being treated.
Meanwhile, Lawyer Rajia Omran told Ahram Online says she was contacted by an activist from the field hospital in Kasr El-Dobara Church confirming that the church is also being under siege. Omran also confirmed that tens of demonstrators were arrested from the Virgin mary Church in Kasr Al-Ainy street earlier on Saturday while the military was dispersing sit-in at Cabinet.
The military police has violently evacuated the Tahrir Square sit-in and demonstrators in Qasr Al-Ainy street.
Eight protesters have been killed, according to the numbers released by the ministry of health, and 300 injured in attacks by security forces against protesters who had been occupying Cabinet headquarters in downtown Cairo.
