In this 24 May 2021 interview with Al Jazeera English, Jadaliyya Co-Editor Mouin Rabbani discusses US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's trip to the Middle East. He points out that the US has little interest in dealing with this issue and will prioritise the restoration of business as usual, and also seek to strengthen the Palestinian Authority while weakening organizations that directly confront Israel's attacks on Palestinian rights. He concludes that it will be difficult for the US to resolve the fundamental contradictions at the heart of its own policies.
