In this episode of The Real Football podcast, well after all the confetti has been cleaned up from Doha, we look at the victors and other awardees of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Our group will also debate where various national teams go after the coaching switches have gotten under way. Other topics of interest will be this past January’s spending and why the Premier League maintaining its status as the best league in the world in this manner is bad for the game, and a new trend of “analytics” and what that could mean for the Beautiful Game. Most of us don’t like a lot of stats. We also pay tribute to the man responsible for that turn of phrase and his awe-inspiring legacy.
