Sarah Schulman

 

Sarah Schulman is Distinguished Professor of English at the College of Staten Island-CUNY. She is a novelist, playwright, screenwriter, nonfiction writer, AIDS historian, journalist, and active participant citizen. She is the Co-Founder of MIX: NY LGBT Experimental Film and Video Festival; Co-Director of the ACT UP Oral History Project; and US Coordinator of the first LGBT Delegation to Palestine. Her most recent books include The Cosmopolitans (The Feminist Press, 2016); Israel/Palestine and the Queer International (Duke, 2013); The Gentrification of the Mind (California, 2012); Ties that Bind: Familial Homophobia and Its Consequences (New Press, 2010); and The Mere Future (Arsenal, 2010).
