Stephen Pascoe is a historian and postdoctoral fellow in the School of Humanities at the University of California, Irvine. His dissertation (UCI, 2019) examined the paths by which foreign-capitalized infrastructure companies in French Mandate Syria became targets of popular discontent, critique and boycott. He was a co-editor of Making Modernity from the Mashriq to the Maghreb (2015) and has published in Radical History Review, Arena, and The Conversation.
