Anıl Olcan and Zozan Pehlivan
Anıl Olcan is an independent artist and a journalist in the Bir+Bir Forum since 2018. His work focuses on the migration, environment, and political violence in Turkey. Previously he had two exhibitions on the seasonal workers and enforced disappearance of individuals in Turkey.
Zozan Pehlivan is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and The Harry Frank Guggenheim Fellow for 2020-2021. Her research focusses mostly on the history of environments, comparative empires, and pastoral nomads. She received her Ph.D. from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario in 2016. Before joining the University of Minnesota in 2018, she held a two-year fellowship at the Indian Ocean World Centre (IOWC) of McGill University, Montréal, Quebec.
