Mohamed Abo-Elgheit

Mohamed Abo-Elgheit is an Egyptian investigative journalist and columnist currently based in London who has covered human rights, terrorism, and corruption in various countries including Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Sudan, and Yemen. He received a 2019 United Nations Correspondents Association Gold Medal for his documentary on Yemen and the Global Arms Trade, and in 2020 was co-recipient of the Fetisov Journalism Awards First Prize for exposing the secret financial network behind Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
