Malek Abisaab is Associate Professor in the department of History and Classical Studies and the Institute of Islamic Studies at McGill University.
Michelle Hartman is Professor of Arabic Literature at the Institute of Islamic Studies, McGill University.
Together they have published four books on women and the Lebanese Civil War, including the one featured here. They also published Mudhakkirat Munadila (Beirut: Ab’ad) and Memoirs of a Militant (Northampton: Interlink) by Nawal Baidoun, which they edited and translated (with Caline Nasrallah) as well as Women’s War Stories: The Lebanese Civil War, Women’s Labour, and the Creative Arts (Syracuse University Press).
