Yasmin El-Rifae is writer and editor whose work has appeared in Mada Masr, The New York Times, Lux magazine, and other outlets. She is also a producer of The Palestine Festival of Literature. Her first book, Radius: A Story of Feminist Revolution, was published by Verso in 2022.
Lucia Carminati is associate professor of modern Middle East history and migration history at the University of Oslo. She is the author of Seeking Bread and Fortune in Port Said: Labor Migration and the Making of the Suez Canal, 1859-1906, published by the University of California Press in 2023.
