Başak Ertür and James Martel
Başak Ertür is a Lecturer at the School of Law at Birkbeck College, University of London. Her current research focuses on trials, performativity, political violence, and memory. She is the editor of Manual for Conspiracy (Sharjah Art Foundation, 2011), and the co-editor of Waiting for the Barbarians: A Tribute to Edward Said (Verso, 2008). James Martel teaches political theory at San Francisco State University in the department of political science. He is one of the co-editors, along with Kennan Ferguson, of Theory & Event. He is the author, most recently, of The One and Only Law: Walter Benjamin and the Second Commandment (Michigan, 2014).
