Rikke Hostrup Haugbølle is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies at the University of Copenhagen, where she is writing a dissertation on Media, Islam and Identity in Tunisia, 2000 - 2011 as part of The New Islamic Public Sphere Programme.
Francesco Cavatorta is senior lecturer in the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University. He is the author of Civil Society Activism under Authoritarian Rule: A Comparative Perspective (Routledge, 2012) and The International Dimension of the Failed Algerian Transition: Democracy Betrayed? (Manchester University Press, 2009).
