Amy Motlagh

 

Amy Motlagh is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at the American University of Cairo. Her research interests include the modern and classical literary traditions of the Persophone world, as well as the cultural production of the Iranian diaspora. She is the author of Burying the Beloved: Realism and Reform in Modern Iran (Stanford University Press, 2011), and has published or forthcoming articles in Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, Alif: Journal of Comparative Poetics, MELUS: Multi-Ethnic Literatures of the United States, and the edited collection Domestic Tensions, National Anxieties: Global Perspectives on Marriage Crisis.
