Mandy Merzaban
Mandy Merzaban is the founding curator of the Barjeel Art Foundation, for whom she has organised numerous local and international exhibitions, including “Terms and Conditions” at the Singapore Art Museum (2013) and, as co-curator, “Modern Art From the Middle East” at Yale University Art Gallery (2017). She received her MA in Cultural Translation at the American University of Paris. In addition to her work as a curator, Mandy is an artist that combines writing, video and drawing. Her most recent research art project titled “An Unknown Lover’s Discourse,” is an analysis of subjectivity, love and tarab music in international adaptations of Stefan Zweig’s Letter from an Unknown Woman (1922).
