Edwin Nasr is a writer and independent researcher based in Beirut, Lebanon. His current writing focuses on visuality and cinematic modes of production in the Arab region, parafiction as a form of queer opacity, and the digital reproducibility of collective traumas. His writings have been featured in publications such as Biennale de l'Image en Mouvement (Genève), ArteEast, Muftah Magazine, Makhzin, Reorient, The Daily Star, and Counterpunch. Nasr recently gave talks at Harvard University's Department of Visual and Environmental Studies, the American University of Beirut (AUB), and Asia Contemporary Art Week: Field Meeting 6. He is currently the Assistant to the Director at Ashkal Alwan, a non-profit committed to contemporary artistic practice, production, and research.
