Jo Kelcey and Anne Irfan
Jo Kelcey is a doctoral candidate in International Education at New York University and a senior researcher at the Centre for Lebanese Studies, Beirut where she conducts research on the education of refugees and migrants. Her dissertation examines the history of UNRWA’s Education Programme and considers the lessons this poses for other refugee responses.
Anne Irfan is Departmental Lecturer in Forced Migration at the University of Oxford, where she is based in the Refugee Studies Centre. Her research examines Palestinian refugee history, UNRWA, and the origins of the global refugee regime. Her work has been published in Journal of Refugee Studies, Forced Migration Review and Jerusalem Quarterly, which named her co-winner of the 2017 Ibrahim Dakkak Award for Best Essay on Jerusalem.
