On Tuesday, 15 February Jadaliyya co-editor Mouin Rabbani spoke with Tunisian journalist Mohamed Haddad about Tunisian President Kais Saied’s consolidation of power since his suspension of parliament in July 2021. Mohamed Haddad is currently a Mason Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. For the past decade he has been a journalist in Tunisia, working for major international media like Reuters, AFP, and Le Monde. He has worked as a media trainer for journalists from across the Arabic-speaking world, and In 2015, he co-founded Barr Al-Aman Research Media, an NGO based in Tunisia whose mission is to create bridges between academic research and journalism.

Mouin Rabbani has published and commented widely on Palestinian affairs, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the contemporary Middle East. He was previously Senior Analyst Middle East and Special Advisor on Israel-Palestine with the International Crisis Group, and head of political affairs with the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria. He is Co-Editor of Jadaliyya Ezine.
