Helga Tawil-Souri and Dina Matar

Helga Tawil-Souri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media, Culture, and Communication and the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at NYU. Helga’s work deals with spatiality, technology, infrastructure, and politics in the Middle East, with a particular focus on contemporary Palestine.

 

Dina Matar is Professor of Political Communication and Arab media at SOAS and is the outgoing Chair of the Centre for Palestine Studies after a six-year role. Her work focuses on de-colonizing political communication and media practices, cultural politics, representations and identity, war/conflict and media, and memory and oral history with a focus on Palestine and Palestinians.
